Technical Game Designer
Is a 3rd-person co-op shooter where players take on the role of interplanetary garbage disposers. Their task is to escort a train through a hostile alien environment using elemental weapons and combinations to fight against a mysterious race of insects.
I worked as Game Designer and Technical Designer on this game as my Master’s Degree Final Project.
My contributions

Designed and prototyped most of the core mechanics and systems, including, among others:

Player core mechanics: The first version of the player overall mechanics.

The movement and control mechanics of the player.

Design and prototype the shooting mechanics.

The documentation about the player mechanics.

Combat System: This system was implemented by using Gameplay Ability System (GAS).

Enemies behaivor: Design and prototype the enemies AI, including two diferent flying AI.

Elemental interactions: Design, protype and balance of the four elemental interactions of the game.

Attack Effects: Knockback, Pulldown etc

Gunplay: Design, prototype and balance of the difernts guns of the game.

Level Interactuables: Design, prototype and implementation of diferent level interactuables.

Level Streaming system: Design and implementation of the level streaiming procces in the game (First use world partition and Data layer, and later switch to regular level streaming).

User interface: Design and prototype the first dreaft of the UI.

Made multiple Tools for Level Designers : During the project, as a Technical Designer, I developed multiple tools to enhance productivity of team members.

Customs triggers: Trigers easy to modificate for the level designer to adapt for a variety of circustances

Interactuables: Easy to implement with a lot of modificable varibles to be really adaptative to the level designer work.

Participate in the Level design and combat design

Design the general level path and beatchart.

Protype levels ideas for the diferents areas of the game.

Design, prototype and implement the combat design for all the combats in the game.

Support the rest of the design team with the use of unreal engine, github and others.
