Gea of War is a retro, arcade, 2D, pixel art, shooter videogame in which will control a demigoddess trying to keep the earth safe from contamination. For this, the player will have to manage both his life and that of the earth, channeling the energy of nature through the roots of his bow.

It is a frenetic videogame, in which through some simple mechanics, and the management of the resources that are presented, the player will have to survive as long as possible to try to achieve the best score.

I worked as Game Designer and Programmer on this game in the Global Game Jam 2023 

My contributions

  • Designed and Programming (Godot propietary lenguage) most of the mechanics and systems, including, among others:

    1. Design General concept of the game.

    2. Design and programming the enemies AI, and spawn system.
    3. Design and progamming of the user interface.

    4. Design and programming the score system.

    5. Design the player mechanics.

    6. Implementation of VFX/SFX.
